Charity duck races have 5000 high quality yellow plastic racing ducks, available for hire. The ducks are of the weighted variety which means that they stay upright throughout the race and are approximately 6cm in size. They are numbered 1 to 5000, bagged in numbered groups of 500 and provided with the numbers checked to ensure that each number is present.
so, what's the bill?
Up to 1000 ducks: fixed charge of £200
Each additional duck (hired in bags of 500): 10p per duck (in addition to the fixed charge)
Total Cost for 5000 ducks: £600 plus VAT
We can even deliver the ducks to you, at the following costs:
Travel time charged at: £15 per hour
Mileage charged at: 40p per mile
the (not so) small print...
A £500 security deposit is required, which will be refunded when the ducks return home safely. A 20% non refundable deposit is required when booking. The outstanding balance for your hire will be invoiced four weeks prior to the event. Full payment is required before the event.
The charity will be billed 75p for any lost or damaged ducks. It is advised that the charity takes out suitable insurance against the loss of a large number of ducks. The total replacement cost of our ducks is £3750
